Quiet Evenings

So, I said that I would blog more later and here I am. Tyler and I just got home from Mom's and he's still sleeping in his car seat. Dad isn't home. Seems like that happens a lot these days but it's just that time of the year again. We do really miss him when he's gone though. Helps me look forward to February and having him home a lot more. He coaches JV BBall for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about.

Life sure has changed in the last two months. For the better of course. I feel like I'm finally getting into the swing of being a working mom. I really miss my boy a lot but I know I need the outlet I get with work. My dream is to someday only have to work two days a week. That may not happen for a while though. For now I love coming home to my little man and his handsome smiles.

See what I mean about the smile! Melts my heart!

I wanted to share something that happened a couple weeks ago. A lot of you know that Tyler and John were dedicated on Sunday two weeks ago. We had decided to last minute because Mikes family was going to be in town and that was important for all the family to be there.  I hadn't realized it but a couple days before I remembered that it was exactly a year ago on that Sunday that I was sitting in the emergency room finding out that I had a miscarriage. It was a really meaningful day not just because of the dedication and baptism of Tyler but also because of the little baby that God decided to keep. In a way I felt like we were praising God for both of them that day. Tyler wouldn't be here today if it weren't for God's plan for us. Now that Tyler is here I could imagine it any other way. Maybe something was wrong with the baby, but for whatever reason God wanted us to have Tyler and I thank Him everyday for that! Someday I know that I will be able to hold that other precious one and I so look forward to that day too! There is a verse that was very encouraging to me shortly after after the miscarriage that dad had pointed out to me. It's
 Psalms 139:14-17
1
4 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
   your works are wonderful,
   I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
   when I was made in the secret place,
   when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
   all the days ordained for me were written in your book
   before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
   How vast is the sum of them!

God had a plan for that little one just like he has a plan for Tyler. We are so blessed!
Tyler is now awake and getting hungry. Time to say goodbye for now.
